Liverpool vs Man United

So it's a loss for Liverpool as they get beat 2-1, by who looked the better side Manchester Utd. The big picture was Patrice Evra and Luis Suarez. Luis Suarez of Liverpool was accused of making racist remarks toward Man Utd's Patrice Evra, and was banned for eight games by the FA. Both Managers had said to forget about it, but Suarez refused to shake hands with Evra. This was before the game started so clearly it was going to be a competitive game. The first half was quite laid back, with Glen Johnson just putting a shot he often scores sizzling past the post. Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs connected well but the cross was right at Reina. Luis Suarez broke free from the Man Utd. defense only to be slide tackled by Rio Ferdinand. The ref Phil Dowd waved play on. Suarez started arguing, as he not only wanted a free kick but a red card too. Suarez gained even more headlines by kicking the ball off the pitch at half time, which lead to even more arguments. The score at half time was 0-0.

It's early second half and Man Utd have a corner. Johnny Evans headed the corner to Rooney who volleyed it in the net. Evans got up before Henderson, and the ball fell to Rooney. Johnson didn't react quick, and Rooney smashed in the volley. Just three minutes later Rooney scored another goal. A mistake by the Liverpool defense allowed Rooney to slot it right past the furious, Reina. So the score was 2-0 Man Utd. Liverpool's Stewart Downing has been invisible throughout the game doing nothing for his side. Liverpool make a double sub in the sixtieth minute, with Andy Carrol Replacing Jay Spearing and in form Craig Bellamy replacing Stewart Downing. Nothing much interesting for about ten minuets, as Liverpool bring on Charlie Adam for Dirk Kuyt. Michael Carrick fouls Luis Suarez, and gets a yellow card. Adam's free kick is saved but Suarez scores the rebound. In injury and stoppage time. Liverpool push, but can't score. Man Utd get another attack, and get a corner. The short pass is sent to Rooney, and then the final whistle is blown. here are the game stats.
